Hazy by the River

This painting was started on location but never finished. I remembered the day very well as it was hazy, hot and humid in late summer. I didn't take a photo of the scene so I had to work from memory. This is the way it felt to me that day. Muted colors and hazy light. The humidity almost visible as is often the case in summer by the Mississippi River.
